Disastrous Questions
An UNDAC Team member is trying to find out more about the best methodologies for the capture and use of geodata in an emergency scenario. His survey - a single page of 22 multiple-choice type questions - is easy to do and will help UNDAC help others.
It would be interesting (and in my Caribbean disaster experience, highly relevant) to note the differences between ISLANDERS and continentals in these response. The topic, for example, of evacuation routes comes to mind.
The Caribbean GIS Blog exists to share information and encourage the growth of Caribbean SDI(s). Contributors with information and opinions on GIS in the Caribbean and surrounding countries are welcome. It's easy to join.
